The late Dr. T. Harry Williams, Emeritus Professor of History at LSU, presided over my studies in the Civil War and Reconstruction in graduate school. His views and those of historians in general were those which you admirably have described. The process of villainizing the victim continues. I enjoyed reading this segment.
